The Black House is the last remaining dwelling on the site which has been restored to its original condition. The tour includes a visit to the dam, past some remarkable Victorian engineering and a visit to the Church at Byrness with its beautiful memorial window to the workers who lost their lives during the dam’s construction.

Meet at the reservoir gates at 1.30pm (1 mile north of Byrness Church on the A68). Ring 01434 344396 for further information
