Tyne Rivers Trust are running training days for people and groups who want to keep an eye on their own stretch of river. The training will focus on testing water quality using chemical kits and recording your findings to help us identify where there are problems with pollution.

It’s a great way to spend more time outdoors and you can choose a stretch of river that you regularly pass or they can work with you to find a location that suits you. It’s part of their Adopt a Stream project which aims to get everybody involved improving river habitat and lessening the effects of climate change.

If you’d like to get involved please book your place by contacting Simone Price on 01434 636903/ s.price@tyneriverstrust.org

You’ll need to wear warm clothing and wellies as we’ll be outside for some of the day.
