Redesdale is one of Northumberland’s best kept secrets – but head off the main road and you will find hidden valleys, waterfalls and glorious viewpoints.
Revitalising Redesdale has worked with partners to help local people and visitors explore and discover for themselves Redesdale’s stunning landscape and diverse heritage by improving the paths, gates and stiles on a number of public rights of way in the area, improving waymarking and developing 6 new self-guided walk leaflets with 18 walks.
A local community group, the Redesdale Ramblers, produced a walk leaflet with a series of walks to take in the lovely countryside around Corsenside. This work was funded through our Community Heritage Fund, and once their leaflets ran out the information from their leaflet was used to produce one of the 6 new walk leaflets – for Corsenside and West Woodburn.
See our Walking around Redesdale page for links to the 6 walk leaflets and our Home and Discover pages. Why not Explore Redesdale with four itineraries for a great day out – Revitalising Redesdale designed to help visitors to Redesdale plan their visit
