The Redesdale Archaeology Group is a group of volunteers who have formed as a legacy of the Revitalising Redesdale Landscape Partnership. The group came into being in 2022 and invites people upwards of 16 years to join this enterprise. No previous experience of archaeology is necessary, but an interest in Redesdale and wanting to find out about its past helps!
The aim of the Redesdale Archaeology group is to give members an opportunity to take part in various aspects of archaeology, ranging from desk-based research projects, to field surveys and archaeological excavations conducted by professional archaeologists.
