Help Corsenside Churchyard volunteers to make and install bird boxes at the beautiful St Cuthbert’s Church, Corsenside. You can even make a box to take home!
Nest boxes imitate holes and cavities that many birds naturally use for nesting and roosting and can help to compensate for a shortage of these natural sites.
This event is suitable for ages 7+. All persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear and be aware that there are no toilets or washing facilities available at this event.
St Cuthbert’s Churchyard, Corsenside is off the A68, north of West Woodburn: St Cuthbert’s Church, Corsenside, Hexham, NE48 2TA
Corsenside Churchyard volunteers will be doing other enjoyable things of wildlife benefit and historic interest throughout the year. Plans for 2020 include reptile surveying, exploring the social history of the churchyard, scything wildflower meadow areas and hay baling with a picnic!
