Join Natural England Revitalising Redesdale Programme Manager, Bruce Wilkinson for a guided walk from Carter Bar to the newly rebuilt Carter Pike cairn on Whitelee Moor National Nature Reserve which is owned and managed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
Learn about the incredible wildlife and all the work which is going into restoring, conserving and managing the peat soils which are so important for wildlife, diversity, flood control and locking up carbon.
The walk is approx. 2 miles over rough and potentially boggy ground in an exposed location so good mobility is needed.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join in.
Free but you need to book your place to give us an idea of numbers.
