Meet the Revitalising Redesdale team!

Meet the Revitalising Redesdale team!

The Revitalising Redesdale team is now complete and ready for action!

Jennifer Care, Farming and Wildlife Officer, was the first to commence her post in February and is employed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust. Karen Collins, the Heritage and Engagement Officer, started in March and is employed by Northumberland National Park Authority.  Nick Lightfoot, Programme Support Officer, and Maria Hardy, Programme Manager, both joined in April and are employed by Natural England.

Together with partners, we will be delivering a £2.8 million programme of conservation, heritage and access improvement projects, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Projects include physical works to improve water quality and biodiversity along the River Rede and its tributaries, habitat creation and wildlife recording, access improvements along public rights of way, restoration of historic monuments, investigation of the Otterburn Battlefield site and a community archaeology programme. See our project pages for further information.

We are excited to be starting the delivery phase of the scheme and the team will be busy out and about over the coming few months as projects get fully underway.
