#MyRedesdale Photo Competition Winners

Revitalising Redesdale launched its #MyRedesdale photo competition in late August to capture the spirit of this beautiful area. Alongside breath-taking landscapes we also asked people to send us shots of some of the hidden corners of Redesdale, of the wildlife, old Redesdale and people at work and play.

There were forty-six entries and the standard of the images was very high, which made it very difficult for our three local judges Richard Simmance, Máire West and Martin Chilvers. Eventually four winners were chosen and six other photos selected for high commendation.

The winners were:

  • Redesdale landscapes: Pete Saunders for his picture of Hoar Frost near Girstonfield
  • Wild Redesdale: Emma Kellie for her picture of Wildlife Sightings in Rupert’s Wood
  • Old Redesdale: Roland Oliver for his picture of the Second World War Pill box at Ottercops
  • Redesdale Life: Mary White for her picture of fun at the Upper Redesdale show

All the entries can be view on our #MyRedesdale Gallery below
